When it comes to big names in the world of professional wrestling, they don’t get much bigger than The Rock. Not only is The Rock a multi-time WWE Champion, he’s also one of the most famous actors in the world.
Rock worked as hard as he possibly could to make a name for himself in Hollywood during the 8 years he spent away from WWE, and he finally returned to the ring in 2011 for a tag team match at Survivor Series, then followed up with a singles match against John Cena at WrestleMania 28 in 2012.
Prior to his return, The Rock had to knock off a little ring rust, and he trained with former WWE Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel.
Rock and Curtis Axel know each other well, and February 10 is always a tough day for Axel, because it’s the day his father Curt Hennig passed away.
Always a rough day on Feb. 10… But I’m proud of my life, my career my family and my family name. And I owe that to him. #Dad

Rock tried to lift Curtis Axel’s spirits this year by telling him that he has a lot to be proud of.
You’ve got a lot to be proud of brother. He’s proud of you too. Keep puttin’ in that work

Thanks man!

New NXT signee EC3 also commented on the anniversary of Hennig’s passing, and he noted that he’d be paying tribute to Mr. Perfect.
We’ll be gargling tonight in his honor.
