Sting has had a great run with All Elite Wrestling over the last few years, but every wrestler has to hang up their boots sooner or later. Last week Sting appeared on AEW Dynamite and he declared that his last match will take place at the Revolution pay-per-view in 2024.

Ahead of Dynamite this week it was revealed that Tony Khan would be giving Sting a special gift during the show. Sting appeared on Dynamite this week and Darby Allin accompanied him to the ring. The Icon thanked the Philadelphia fans then he thanked Darby Allin before calling him the best tag team partner he’s ever had.

Sting thanked Tony Khan for making a phone call and asking him to come back to wrestling a little bit longer. Tony Schiavone told Sting that it’s Tony Khan who should thank him for what he’s done for AEW. Schiavone then introduced Tony Khan’s special gift and Ric Flair’s music hit.

Tony Schiavone introduced The Nature Boy who walked down to the ring as the crowd went wild. Flair got in the ring then hugged Sting and Schiavone as the fans chanted “holy s***.”

Flair said that 35 years ago he and Sting made history on TBS. He called Sting the nicest guy he’s ever known. The Nature Boy started to get emotional then he said he wants to ride the wave all the way to March with Sting if he’ll let him. Flair then bounced off the ropes and hit Sting with a chop. They both went “woo” before they were interrupted by Christian Cage.

Christian took a few shots at Ric Flair then said the real reason he’s out here is because Sting and Darby Allin decided to stick their nose in his business once again. He said he’ll give Darby one more chance. Cage said he knows Sting wants to make it to Revolution in 2024, but he wants Sting gone right now. Christian Cage looked at Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne then said there’s three of them. He told Sting and Darby to find a partner for Full Gear. Sting accepted the challenge and told Christian Cage they’ll find a partner.
