Rey Mysterio made his WWE return at the Royal Rumble, and it’s safe to say that fans were happy to see the former WWE Champion. Mysterio looked right at home inside a WWE ring, and it sounds like we could be seeing him wrestle another WWE match sooner than later. Rey visited a WWE live event this week, Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated is claiming he also visited SmackDown to work out details for a WrestleMania match with John Cena.
Breaking: Per WWE sources, Rey Mysterio is backstage working out details tonight at SmackDown for a match at WrestleMania. The rumored opponent is John Cena.

Cena has been playing it off on TV like his path to WrestleMania is unclear at this point, but he earned a spot in the WWE Championship match at Fastlane when he defeated AJ Styles in the main event of SmackDown Live this week.
Of course it’s been rumored that Cena is penciled in for a match with The Undertaker this year, and a conflicting report regarding Cena’s opponent for WrestleMania recently indicated that match is still on.
One way or another it looks like we’ll be seeing John Cena on the Grandest Stage of Them All this year, and WWE officials seem to be working hard to find a worthy opponent for the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
