Rey Mysterio has had his fair share of WrestleMania moments since joining WWE back in 2002, and even though WrestleMania 39 is still months away it’s never too early to start talking about who Rey could face on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
It seems that Rey Mysterio already has an opponent in mind for WrestleMania next year as he recently told Inside The Ropes that he would like to face Finn Balor.
“The one guy I had in mind, and it’s actually happening right now as we speak is Finn Balor. The opportunity of working against Finn, and these last couple of weeks that we have been on RAW, I really feel like we have great chemistry together. It was bound to happen just because I know how dedicated he is, and how committed he is, so I think the program I have been doing with Finn has been incredible.”
The interest level in a singles match on a big stage appears to be mutual as Finn Balor recently noted that he wants to face Rey Mysterio in a singles match at Clash at the Castle. Plans for Rey Mysterio and Finn Balor haven’t been confirmed for Clash at the Castle, but it’s expected that The Judgement Day will work with the Mysterios and Edge in some form.
