Last year the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic was introduced to NXT and recently there’s been talk that the tournament would be returning this year.
William Regal confirmed the return of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic at the NXT tapings on Thursday. The tournament kicked off at the tapings and the winners will be crowned at NXT Takeover: Toronto on Saturday, November 19th.
Finn Balor and Samoa Joe won the inaugural tournament last year. Balor was the NXT Champion at the time, and shortly after the tournament ended Balor and Joe kicked off their feud and went on to battle at several Takeover events.
