Last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown featured a number of matches, one of which happened to be R-Truth vs. Damian Priest. Unfortunately for Truth the match had to be stopped after he connected with a missile dropkick on Priest and landed awkwardly. Medical staff then checked on Truth as the referee called for the bell.
After the match Damian Priest kept the storyline going as he grabbed a steel chair and made it seem like he was going to attack Truth before Fraxiom made the save.
Since Friday there’s been a lot of concern for R-Truth, but today R-Truth confirmed that he’s ok when he posted the following on social media:
“I AM OK, Thank you ALL for your support, concerns and get well wishes , Wow, It truly feels amazing to feel and be loved I’m grateful for you all.
…On 10/16/2026 I almost passed away… Damien Priest tried to kill me,, I didn’t think he was ThAt serious…
But ok, l’ll be back”
