Tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown is set to take place from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, CA and it’s shaping up to be a big show. Last week John Cena signed a contract for a match with Solo Sikoa & Jimmy Uso at Fastlane in the main event segment, but things didn’t exactly go as planned.
Following SmackDown it was reported that LA Knight was originally set to be part of the main event segment with John Cena. However, Knight was pulled from the show due to a positive COVID test.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that LA Knight could be returning on SmackDown tonight. The original idea was for LA Knight to team with John Cena to face Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa at Fastlane and it’s expected that WWE will move forward with that plan.
WWE is currently focusing on the following points for tonight’s show:
– Rey Mysterio defends his U.S. Title against fellow LWO member Santos Escobar
– The Queen of WWE faces Bayley in a reignition of their rivalry
– An irate Bobby Lashley joins “The Grayson Waller Effect”
