All Elite Wrestling is heading back to Jacksonville for the special Homecoming edition of Dynamite this week and current AEW World Champion Samoa Joe is set to appear live. Joe won the AEW World Championship at Worlds End last month and he indicated during the post-show press conference that he would be looking to get rid of MJF’s Triple B belt as soon as possible.
Fightful Select reports that there was talk of debuting the new AEW World Championship belt on Dynamite tonight. Several cosmetic changes were made to the belt with side plates being one of the things that were added.
It’s also being reported that The Young Bucks are at Daily’s Place ahead of AEW Dynamite tonight. There are said to be several people who haven’t been around in a while who wanted to be at Daily’s Place for this week’s show.
Although it was previously discussed there’s been no indication that Mercedes Mone will be making an appearance tonight. Matches confirmed for Dynamite this week include the following:
– Ricky Starks vs. Sammy Guevara
– Lance Archer, Brian Cage & Gates of Agony vs. Adam Copeland, Dustin Rhodes, Orange Cassidy and Preston Vance
– Sting & Darby Allin vs. Konoshuke Takeshita & Powerhouse Hobbs
– Claudio Castagnoli vs. Adam Page
– Thunder Rosa, Kris Statlander, Willow Nightingale and Anna Jay vs. Julia Hart, Skye Blue, Saraya and Ruby Soho
