Last year the unthinkable happened when Steve Austin finally came out of retirement to face Kevin Owens on the Grandest Stage of Them All. Austin picked up a win over Owens at WrestleMania 38, and it’s been reported that WWE pitched the idea of Austin returning to the ring once again at WrestleMania 39.

Fightful Select is reporting that multiple pitches were made to Steve Austin since last year, and the belief is that he’s open to wrestling another match for the right money in the right situation.

Sources close to the situation have said that Steve Austin was pitched a match with Brock Lesnar last year, but the money he was offered was a non-starter. Austin was later offered a significantly higher amount for a match with Roman Reigns and he just didn’t get back to WWE on it.

Additional pitches have been made to Austin who’s said to be very in shape, but not for marquee matches. LA Knight is a name that’s at least been pitched for Austin. However, no one has been able to verify that match will be happening. Stay tuned for updates.
