Woken Matt Hardy has finally arrived in WWE, and he’s slowly introducing fans to his universe. Fans who watched the Broken Universe unfold in Impact Wrestling know that Matt isn’t the only person who was a part of it, but so far he’s been riding solo in WWE.
Jeff Hardy is currently out of action after undergoing surgery for a torn rotator cuff a few months ago. As of right now it’s not known when he’ll be returning, but it’s worth noting that he mentioned back in November that he hoped to be back in the ring by April.
A fan recently called in to Wrestling Observer Live and asked for an update on Jeff Hardy and whether or not he’ll be teaming with Matt or working as a singles star when he returns. Bryan Alvarez speculated that when Jeff Hardy returns he will be working with Matt as part of the Woken Universe in WWE, which could see the WWE debut of Brother Nero.
If WWE does indeed add Jeff to the Woken Universe, it could certainly take the concept to the next level.
Matt and Jeff’s transformation into the Broken Hardys a few years ago breathed new life into their career as a tag team, so hopefully we’ll be seeing something similar on a much larger scale in WWE.
