Braun Strowman is the number one contender for the Raw Tag Team Titles, but he’s going to need a partner in order to challenge Sheamus and Cesaro for the belts at WrestleMania 34.
Strowman teased a possible reveal this week on Monday Night Raw, but ultimately fans were left guessing in regards to who might be teaming up with The Monster Among Men.
Sports Illustrated is reporting that Vince McMahon is strongly considering pairing Rey Mysterio with Strowman for the Show of Shows, with the idea that it would put the biggest, and smallest wrestler together.
If Mysterio does return for WrestleMania 34 it’s expected that it would only be part of a short term deal.
This of course all depends on Rey Mysterio’s health, as he recently suffered a bicep injury.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion was originally scheduled for a match against Jushin “Thunder” Liger at the NJPW Strong Style Evolved event on Sunday, but he was pulled before the show and replaced by Will Ospreay.
Mysterio recently made his WWE return during the 2018 Royal Rumble match, and there’s been a lot of talk about his future with the company ever since. It’s no big secret that Mysterio has been in talks with WWE, and he’s confirmed that he would like to return to the company under the right circumstances.
