One of the most exciting times of the year is when WWE gets to shake things up (in theory) during the annual draft show. This not only makes dream matches a possibility, but gives fans more than enough room to pontificate on what they would like to see happen down the line with no roster restrictions getting in their way.
However, Cagesideseats is reporting the word going around is that this year’s draft won’t be as lavish a production as the initial brand extension draft was in 2016. Apparently each general manager will only get a handful of picks instead of reorganizing the entire roster.
NXT still isn’t off the table, so there are likely to be developmental call-ups. But, the champions on each brand will be off-limits.
There are also reports coming out of the latest batch of Impact Wrestling tapings that there have already been problems arising out of Konnan. Word is he is showing up late and yelling at wrestlers backstage.
This is kind of an unsettling situation as Impact Wrestling has gone out of their way to get on Konnan’s good side recently from sending the Broken Hardys to Crash Luchas in Tijuana (where they carried on their Expedition of Gold). Impact also decided to give LAX the Impact Wrestling tag belts after stripping them from the Broken Hardys upon their exit from the company.
Only time will tell if these reported incidents will spell trouble for Konnan, but if we’re hearing about it things can’t be totally peachy.
