WrestleMania 42 is still over a year away, but it’s never too early to start talking about the big event. This year the Show of Shows will emanate for Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, and it looks like WWE may have locked down a location for WrestleMania next year.

WrestleVotes is reporting that sources have indicated WWE plans to announce the location for WrestleMania 42 ahead of WrestleMania 41 in April. It’s been speculated that New Orleans could host WrestleMania in 2026 with the show taking place from the Superdome. This would be the third time that the city has hosted the Showcase of the Immortals as WrestleMania 30 and 34 also took place from the Superdome.

“Sources indicate WWE is planning on announcing WrestleMania 42’s location prior to this year’s event, with the highly speculated New Orleans, LA, as the host city. The Superdome (Silverdome, brother)—home of WM 30 & 34—is set to host its third Mania in 2026.”

WrestleMania 30 featured some huge moments such as Brock Lesnar ending The Undertaker’s streak and Daniel Bryan defeating all three members of Evolution in the same night. Likewise, WrestleMania 34 also featured some big moments such as Daniel Bryan’s in-ring return, and Ronda Rousey’s in-ring debut with WWE.

Right now the wrestling world is focused on WrestleMania 41 as the card has been coming together over the last few weeks. Following his Royal Rumble win Jey Uso has declared that he will be challenging Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the Grandest Stage of Them All. WWE apparently had those plans in place for some time, and you can get more details on when the decision was made to go with Jey Uso vs. Gunther at WrestleMania here.

Stay tuned for more updates on WrestleMania 42 and the card for WrestleMania 41 as they become available.
