Brock Lesnar is the current WWE Universal Champion, and fans are waiting to see who his next challenger will be. It was recently reported that Braun Strowman may be challenging The Beast Incarnate at WWE Great Balls Of Fire in July, and now it looks like Brock could also be defending his title at Extreme Rules.
PWInsider is reporting that current plans call for a triple threat match to take place on Raw that will determine the new #1 contender for Brock Lesnar’s Universal Championship. According to the report, The Miz, Seth Rollins and Finn Balor are the planned participants for the match.
However, it was also noted that Raw is constantly rewritten, so plans could change before the show airs later tonight.
Finn Balor and Seth Rollins battled in the first ever Universal Championship match at SummerSlam in 2016, and Balor won the title but injured himself in the process. Balor’s injury forced him to vacate the title, and he’s been sitting on the sidelines for months. He recently made his return and now it seems that Finn Balor wants to reclaim the title he never lost.
It’s also been announced that Bayley and Sasha Banks will team up to face Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss on Raw tonight.
