You never know who might return to WWE and during the Bad Bunny vs. Damian Priest match at Backlash former WWE star Carlito made a surprise appearance. The fans in attendance and the fans watching around the world let Carlito know that they were happy to see him back and many have been wondering if he could be making more appearances on WWE programming in the future.
Dave Meltzer recently shared an update on Carlito’s status on Wrestling Observer Radio, and he noted that not only did Carlito cancel an upcoming independent date, but also allegedly claimed that he has signed with WWE.
“He (Carlito) had an independent show on July 15 for Devon Nicholson in Canada, and he called him up to cancel and said that he has signed with WWE. So… perhaps he has signed with WWE. That’s what Devon Nicholson said today.”
If Carlito does indeed return to WWE then his return will surely make his fans happy as it’s obvious that there are a lot of people who want to see him back on TV. WWE will likely try to keep his return a surprise, so it will be interesting to see if he pops up in the weeks to come. Stay tuned for updates.
