Professional wrestling isn’t for the weak as injuries do happen from time to time. Originally Eddie Kingston was set to face off against Artemis Spencer at a DEFY event on Saturday, February 11, but the AEW Star was pulled from the show due to injury. DEFY confirmed Kingston wouldn’t be stepping into the ring when they posted the following:
“DEFY has learned that due to injury EDDIE KINGSTON will no longer be able to compete at tonight’s YEAR6. EDDIE is super bummed and we wish him a speedy recovery. We’ll have him back for a future event! DON’T FEAR, Defyance- a stacked card remains, 6 YEARS LOUD!”

F4Wonline.com reports that Eddie Kingston suffered the injury on Wednesday, but details regarding how it happened are unclear as he didn’t appear on Dynamite or Rampage. The hope is that Eddie Kingston will be able to return quickly.
Eddie Kingston is currently set to face Jay White at NJPW Strong Battle in the Valley on Saturday, February 18 and he recently posted a tweet indicating that the match is still on.
