WrestleMania season is almost here and a number of big returns have been rumored for the coming weeks. Alexa Bliss is one name fans haven’t seen in some time as she last appeared on WWE programming when she challenged Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at the 2023 Royal Rumble PLE. There’s been a lot of talk about her possibly returning to WWE soon, but now it seems that plans for her return have been canceled.
PWInsider is reporting that return plans for Alexa Bliss are off the table. WWE creative has been told to put all plans on hold indefinitely. Initially plans called for Alexa Bliss to return weeks ago on Raw in San Jose.
A storyline involving The Wyatt Sicks was pitched for Alexa’s return, but creative was told to drop all plans for Bliss right before the event. The Wyatt Sicks have since been moved to SmackDown, and plans for the group moving forward will be independent of anything relating to Alexa Bliss.
It’s being said that creative plans were not an issue and Bliss was ready to return. One source noted that there may be a contract issue while other sources stated that they didn’t know what the issue was. Alexa Bliss has not been included in pitches for the women’s Royal Rumble match.
Stay tuned for more updates on Alexa Bliss and her WWE status as they become available.
