WrestleMania season is in full swing and several title matches have been confirmed for the Show of Shows. Jey Uso is set to challenge Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and John Cena is set to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
There’s a lot of anticipation heading into the show as everyone is waiting to see if John Cena will defeat Cody Rhodes to win his 17th championship. It seems that WWE had a plan in place for Cody Rhodes following WrestleMania 41, but that plan could be changing.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Drew McIntyre was originally moved to SmackDown for a series of title matches with Cody Rhodes. However, that plan could fall apart if Cody Rhodes loses the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania.
As of right now it’s expected that Drew McIntyre will be facing off against Damian Priest at WrestleMania 41. Drew recently shared his thoughts on being left out of the world title match at WrestleMania this year, and you can get more details on that here.
