Roman Reigns has been the man to beat for months now as he defeated CM Punk to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the night two main event of WrestleMania 42.
In recent weeks the best luchadores from AAA, Raw and SmackDown have been competing in a tournament to determine who would challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship in Mexico City, and the finals came down to Penta Rey Fenix.
The two brothers clashed in the main event on Monday Night Raw this week, and it was ultimately Penta who picked up the victory to earn a shot at Roman’s title.
Near the end of the match Penta went for the Mexican Destroyer off the top, but Fenix got out of it as Penta flipped. Fenix then tried for the Muscle Buster and Penta reversed it into a Penta Driver for a two count.
They went to the outside and Penta put Rey Fenix through the announce table with a Penta Driver. He rolled Fenix back into the ring and Fenix kicked out. Penta connected with the Sacrifice on Fenix then tried for the Mexican Destroyer, but Fenix reversed it into a hurricanrana for a two count. Penta finally hit he Mexican Destroyer and pinned Rey Fenix to pick up the win. After the match Penta picked up his brother and they celebrated together.
Roman Reigns made his way out to the ring and he confronted Penta.
