Paige’s life is about to be shown to the world on the big screen when “Fighting With My Family” is released, and while doing interviews to promote the film she’s had plenty of time to reflect on her highs and lows.
2017 was a rough year for Paige, as WWE announced she had failed the wellness policy twice, and explicit videos and photos of her ended up leaking online. Paige opened up about her rough year during an interview with the New York Post, and she admitted that she hit rock bottom.
“To be publicly humiliated like that was terrible, and I don’t wish that for anyone,” she says. “I didn’t go to work; I didn’t do anything. I felt so rock bottom.”
But the former Divas Champion went on to say that a chance encounter with a seven year old girl at a grocery store in Texas inspired her to pick herself back up.
“Of course, she didn’t have the internet and thought I was the most beautiful and most successful woman in the world. It opened my eyes to so many things. I was like, ‘I’m gonna let videos get in the way of things?’ I thought, what am I doing? I need to be successful for her. My whole journey was supposed to be about inspiring people.”
Paige is currently busy promoting “Fighting With My Family” and she doesn’t have a solid role on WWE programming right now.
She’s expressed interest in becoming a manager, but we’ll have to wait and see if WWE entertains that idea.
