In the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was noted that Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar is the planned main event at WrestleMania 34, so whatever happens with the Taker/Roman finish will undoubtedly revolve around building toward that match.
If Roman Reigns is made to go heel for the match, it will be a short run because the plan is obviously for Reigns to be a top babyface a year from now at least.
Braun Strowman could be booked to end the match causing Reigns to get “screwed over by a third party.” It was also noted that Roman Reigns could also always lose the match against The Undertaker clean which would lead to a “starting from the bottom” storyline. This tactic has been effective in the past to get babyfaces over with the crowd, but as we’ve witnessed, Roman Reigns is a special case in that regard because there will always be a portion of the audience that will reject him as a top babyface.
It’s official folks, Roman Reigns is going to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33. According to Roman Reigns he’s going to be the man that retires The Undertaker and we’re talking about whether or not it should happen on this week’s episode of Still Real Radio.
