Oba Femi picked up a major win over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania back in April, and The Beast Incarnate seemingly retired after the match. However, Brock returned a few weeks later when he attacked Femi on Raw, then he went on to defeat The Ruler at Clash in Italy.
After Oba Femi won the King of the Ring tournament, Brock Lesnar challenged him to a Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam, and Oba gave up his title shot so he could go one on one with The Beast one more time.
Oba Femi received a big ovation from the Minneapolis fans as he made his entrance. Brock Lesnar made his way out onto the stage and Paul Heyman accompanied him as The Beast Incarnate walked down to the ring. Alicia Taylor introduced Oba Femi then Paul Heyman stood up on the announce table and did the ring introductions for Brock Lesnar, then the cage was lowered.
As soon as the bell rang Femi went right after Lesnar with several uppercuts and shots to his midsection in the corner. Lesnar fought back with a series of German suplexes, but Femi no sold them then clotheslined Brock over the top rope. Oba threw Brock into the cage and Lesnar countered by throwing him into the ring steps.
Lesnar tried to suplex Femi on the floor as Femi blocked it then countered with a suplex of his own. The Ruler threw The Beast into the steel ring steps and grabbed a table from under the ring, which he stood up against the cage. He then whipped Lesnar shoulder first into the table.
Oba grabbed two chairs then threw them into the ring. Lesnar hit him with the steel ring steps three times. Brock followed up with another German suplex and then beat Oba down with a steel chair. The Beast hit Femi with a suplex followed by another suplex onto two steel chairs.
Brock tried for the F5, but Femi countered as he picked Brock up and slammed him down to the mat. Femi made a comeback as he hit Lesnar with two running uppercuts. Brock tried for the F5, but Femi chokeslammed him then threw Lesnar across the ring.
Oba connected with the Fall From Grace as Brock kicked out at two. Lesnar hit the F5 three times then pinned Oba who managed to get his shoulder up.
Brock beat Oba down with a steel chair then ripped up the mat as he exposed the wood underneath the canvas. Lesnar hit Femi with the Tombstone piledriver on the exposed wood and Oba Femi kicked out.
The Ruler got fired up and back to his feet as Lesnar looked shocked. Lesnar tried to hit him with a steel chair, but Femi punched it. Oba hit another F5 to defeat Brock Lesnar for the second time in his career.
After the match Oba Femi stood in the ring and did his pose as the show went off the air. Brock Lesnar walked back down to the ring and stared down Oba. He stepped into the ring and hugged Oba Femi then held up his hand.
Brock Lesnar called for a microphone. He addressed Minnesota and the whole world as he pointed to Oba and called him the future of WWE. Brock said he is the past, Oba is the future then he left.
