This week the NXT Great American Bash aired live on USA Network, and Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell defended the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles against Io Shirai and Zoey Stark.
In the end it was Io Shirai and Zoey Stark who won the match and walked out with the title belts after Tegan Nox made her surprise return and distracted the champions.
Recently teasers featuring a charging battery have been airing on NXT programming, and at one point during the match the lights went out and the charger appeared. The charger then went on to hit 100% and Tegan Nox returned.
Candice LeRae looked shocked and Io Shirai then took advantage of the the distraction when she dropkicked the champions. Zoey Stark tagged in and pinned Indi Hartwell to win the match and the belts.
Tegan Nox attacked Candice LeRae after the match and chased her off while Shirai and Stark celebrated with the belts.
