WrestleMania season is quickly approaching, and anything can happen as we approach the Show of Shows. Typically WWE has called up NXT stars after WrestleMania in the past, and it looks like there are plans to call up one of NXT’s top stars after WrestleMania 38.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that as of a few weeks ago LA Knight was slated to be called up to the WWE main roster after WrestleMania 38. However, LA Knight’s main roster call up may get moved up as he’s already taped a backstage confrontation with Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler.

It’s being said that even though LA Knight is 39 years old company officials are very high on him right now. It was also noted that LA Knight defeated Cedric Alexander recently on Main Event, and Roderick Strong was pinned by T-Bar which is a sign that WWE officials see Knight as more of a main roster prospect than Strong.

LA Knight is being flown in for the SmackDown tapings in Kansas City so he’ll likely work a dark match tonight, and there’s a good chance he’ll be in St. Louis for the Royal Rumble or to be backup for the Royal Rumble. Stay tuned for updates.
