John Cena shocked the world earlier this month when he turned heel at Elimination Chamber, and fans are still processing the events that played out at the premium live event. It seems that everyone has been talking about Cena’s big turn, including The Bella Twins.
While speaking with Women’s Wrestling Talk at the Queen of the Ring premiere The Bella Twins were asked about John Cena’s heel turn, and they both praised the way it all unfolded at Elimination Chamber.
Brie addressed the heel turn first when she said, “It’s about time. I’m actually really happy because this is his farewell year, and I didn’t know if he’d give in or not. So, I love it, and the way it was done, I mean chef’s kiss.”
Nikki then went on to add, “It was done so well, and I think to end your farewell tour, and turn into a character that the fans have wanted for so long, it’s not only going to be fun for him, but how great for the fans. It’s like a gift that he’s giving, and I think it’s so cool. It was amazing too.”
Last month Nikki Bella returned to the ring when she entered the women’s Royal Rumble match. Brie was asked about a potential in-ring return to which she simply said, “I mean, I always say never say never.”
