Last week WWE announced that Eva Marie was set to team with Natalya and Alexa Bliss to take on Carmella, Naomi and Becky Lynch at SummerSlam.
Eva Marie didn’t make it to SummerSlam, because she’s been suspended for 30 days for violating WWE’s Wellness Policy. Still, WWE went through her whole entrance schtick and when it got to the end her announcer told the crowd that she was exhausted from dealing with negative WWE fans, and she decided to take a vacation.
That’s when Nikki Bella’s entrance music hit and she made her way down to the ring to join Natalya and Alexa Bliss.
It was reported last week that Nikki Bella had been cleared to return, and it was rumored that she could replace Eva Marie in the match. The rumors turned out to be true as Nikki wrestled in her first match since last October.
Nikki Bella won the match for her team when she hit Carmella with her new finisher which looked similar to the TKO that Marc Mero used to use.
