As seen on Friday’s episode of Smackdown WWE is going ahead with The Shield vs. Evolution. Triple H made the match official for Extreme Rules at the opening of the show.
PWInsider is reporting that WWE’s main goal when it comes to the feud is to push Roman Reigns as one of the top guys in the company. The plan is to eventually put him in a singles match with Triple H which will possibly happen at SummerSlam. The report also mentions that the match may get pushed back to either Hell in a Cell or Survivor Series if WWE feels they want to stretch it out longer.
On a related note, Roman Reigns got a big singles win at the WWE live event in Saudi Arabia last night. He defeated Randy Orton clean after hitting him with the Superman punch and then a spear.
