WWE recently shook things up with the WWE Draft and several NXT stars were called up. Now it seems that WWE is ready to bring some new talent into the company as a big signing has been confirmed.

ESPN is reporting that WWE confirmed on Tuesday that they’ve signed Tamyra Mensah-Stock to a contract. Tamyra Mensah-Stock made history at the Tokyo Olympics and now it seems that she’s making the jump from amateur wrestling to professional wrestling.

Mensah-Stock has been interested in joining WWE for some time now, but after she placed third in the world championships in 2021 she decided to pursue her second world title which she ended up winning in 2022 in Belgrade, Serbia.

“I didn’t want to end my career on that note. So I did another world championships, I wiped the floor with everybody, and I was like, ‘Man, this is not fun anymore. I need a change.’ Something in the back of my head that’s just been itching at me, a dream of mine for I don’t know how long. I just wanted to be in the WWE.”

It’s being reported that Tamyra Mensah-Stock reported to the WWE Performance Center on Monday and her goal is to make it to the WWE main roster within a year.

“I love watching the athletes just in the ring, just going what they do best. I just see their personalities just shine through the television, and I see their strength. Just everything about them resembles me, and I’ve just wanted to be a part of that.”

Stay tuned for more updates on Tamyra Mensah-Stock’s WWE status as they become available.
