WWE Network released advertising materials saying that they just added 150 hours of SmackDown to the streaming network service. The WWE Network will now feature every episode of Smackdown from 2008-2009. This is a key era as Edge, The Undertaker, and Triple H were involved in some really cool angles during that time-period.
The availability of programming on the WWE Network is certainly improving as they are striving to put up even more content and will (in theory) continue in this task until they have filled in all the gaps.
Rumors pop up every week on new network-exclusive programming, so if you haven’t gotten a subscription to the WWE Network yet, now is the time to do so.
WWE Network has been doing a good job at not only maintaining their original programming such as Holey Foley, Swerved, and Ride Along but have also been diligent in getting shows on the network that initially aired elsewhere. The first season of Total Bellas was released last week and with the addition of these Smackdown episodes, it certainly looks like the WWE Network is worth the money now more than ever.
Legends with JBL will also be back this week with Stan Hansen in the hot seat. This will undoubtedly be an episode worth watching if you want to hear a really tough man talk about beating the life out of people. The stories with Vader as well as all of Hansen’s experiences in Japan and elsewhere will surely make this one a can’t miss episode of the interview series starring JBL that has now become a staple of the WWE Network.
