Update On Nikki Bella Retirement Rumors, New Match Added To Elimination Chamber

Nikki Bella will be taking on Natalya at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on Sunday and recently rumors have been circulating claiming that Nikki Bella could be retiring after WrestleMania 33.

Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that the rumors are partly true, as Nikki is expected to take some time away from WWE following WrestleMania. Most wrestling fans are well aware that Nikki had to undergo neck surgery which kept her out of the ring for quite some time, and although she’s been working a full-time WWE schedule since she returned, apparently the pain is starting to get to her.

The pain is reportedly causing Nikki Bella to feel numbness in her body and she’s hoping that some time away from the ring could allow her body to heal so that she will be able to wrestle at big events in the future.

Nikki Bella has been a prominent figure in the SmackDown women’s division since she made her return to the ring, and right now she’s expected to work a mixed tag team match at WrestleMania 33. It was recently reported that Nikki Bella will be teaming up with her boyfriend John Cena to take on The Miz and Maryse at the show of shows, and it’s been speculated that Cena could finally make a move and propose to Nikki Bella at the event.

A few weeks ago on SmackDown Live Becky Lynch finally got her chance to win the Women’s Title back when she faced off against Alexa Bliss in a steel cage match. Unfortunately for Lynch, La Luchadora interfered, cost her the match and then revealed herself to be Mickie James. The feud between Mickie James and Becky Lynch has hit a boiling point and WWE has announced that the two SmackDown stars will face off at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on Sunday.
