WWE recently shook things up with the 2023 WWE Draft, and a number of NXT stars were called up to Raw and SmackDown. JD McDonagh happened to be one of the names who got called up, and this week he made his in-ring debut on Monday Night Raw when he competed in a battle royal to determine the new number one contender for Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship.
JD McDonagh was eliminated by Dolph Ziggler and after he was taken out of the battle royal he punished Dolph Ziggler by attacking him and sending him into the steel ring steps.
Later in the night JD McDonagh was leaving the arena when Cathy Kelley stopped him for an interview. Kelley asked McDonagh about the attack on Dolph Ziggler and he said he came to Raw to make a statement, so he did that with his attack on Ziggler. As McDonagh was walking up the ramp Finn Balor could be seen watching him in the background.
Finn Balor previously said that The Judgment Day would be expanding after WrestleMania 39 and it looks like JD McDonagh could be a potential recruit. We’ll just have to wait and see how this situation plays out. Stay tuned for updates.
