New Cruiserweight Champion Crowned On WWE Raw

WWE SummerSlam is set to air live on the WWE Network this Sunday, and Neville was booked to defend his WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Akira Tozawa at the pay-per-view, but their match got moved up to this week’s episode of Raw.

Akira Tozawa challenged Neville for the Cruiserweight Title on Raw this week, and after Neville missed the Red Arrow, Tozawa took advantage and hit a Senton Bomb from the top rope to put away the champion.

After he won the match Tozawa celebrated in the ring with Apollo Creed and Titus O’Neil. It’s not clear at this time if they will end up facing off for the title once again on Sunday, but as of this writing WWE has yet to remove the title match from the card.

On a related note, Bray Wyatt is also facing off against Finn Balor on Raw tonight, but as of this writing that match has yet to be removed from the card as well.
