On Friday night Cedric Alexander got the wrestling world talking when he posted a statement on social media indicating that he was done with WWE and would be a free agent in 90 days. Now Fightful Select is reporting that Sonya Deville has been informed her contract will not be renewed, and the following names have been released:
– Blair Davenport
– Akam
– Rezar
– Paul Ellering
– Cedric Alexander
According to the report calls were made to talent informing them of the cuts right around the start of SmackDown. Sonya Deville’s contract will not be renewed and her current deal is set to expire in a few weeks. She will be a free agent after the deal expires.
Cedric Alexander will be a free agent in 90 days, and sources in AEW expect The Hurt Syndicate to push for the company to sign him. The word on Blair Davenport’s release is that WWE didn’t have any creative plans for her after she was called up to the main roster.
The WWE internal roster wasn’t updated on Friday. After the last round of releases the company waited a few days before updating it.
