Jeff Hardy was arrested on Monday on multiple charges, and today AEW President Tony Khan announced that the Charismatic Enigma has been suspended without pay.
Fightful Select reports that following the concert and signing that Matt and Jeff Hardy held on Sunday, Matt made sure that Jeff got back to his hotel room. Matt last saw Jeff on Sunday night as he and his family flew home while Jeff remained in Florida.
It was noted that when Jeff Hardy spoke to officers while he was allegedly intoxicated he told them he had a scheduled doctors appointment for his head which included brain scans. AEW has not commented on that, and an AEW source noted that it’s unlikely the company will comment on it for legal reasons.
There was some confusion regarding the time of arrest, but Jeff was arrested at 9:45 AM then was booked into the Volusia County jail at 12:45 PM EST.
In regards to Jeff driving without a license it’s being reported that Jeff kept a physical license which he used to rent vehicles while he was with WWE and AEW. There hadn’t been any word on Jeff having issues renting cars outside of North Carolina.
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
