The Miz is no longer the Intercontinental Champion. He dropped the belt to Roman Reigns on Monday Night Raw earlier this week, and it appears that there’s a good reason why he lost the belt. Miz is set to reprise his role as Jake Carter in “The Marine 6: Close Quarters” and he’s set to start filming the movie next week.

WWE confirmed that production on “The Marine 6: Close Quarters” will kick off on Monday, November 27, so don’t expect to see The Miz on Raw next week. The former Intercontinental Champion will be joined by WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels, and SmackDown Live star Becky Lynch in the film, and no one seems more excited about the movie than Miz himself.
After the movie was officially announced he took to Twitter to thank WWE for putting their trust in him.
Thank you to @WWEStudios for putting your trust in me to lead this incredible franchise for so long. It’s an honor to portray an armed forces hero and I will do my best to honor all of our Servicemen and Servicewomen. @ShawnMichaels and @BeckyLynchWWE let’s get to work https://t.co/UErwirRWcJ
