This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live was action packed, and the show was headlined by the historic steel cage match which featured Alexa Bliss defending her Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch. This week’s episode of SmackDown also featured the return of Mickie James.
Alexa Bliss and Becky Lynch battled back and forth for quite a while, and it looked like Lynch was about to exit the cage when La Luchadora appeared in the doorway. Alexa Bliss capitalized on the distraction, but Becky Lynch countered with the Dis-Arm-Her. La Luchadora then got in the ring and kicked Becky Lynch in the face. Alexa Bliss followed up with a DDT for the win.
After the match La Luchadora and Alexa Bliss attacked Becky Lynch, but Becky fought back and got the upper hand. Becky took out Alexa Bliss and then she proceeded to rip off La Luchadora’s mask and it was revealed that La Luchadora is Mickie James.
Becky stood in the ring shocked as Alexa Bliss and Mickie James beat her down to end the show.

Mickie James returned at NXT TakeOver: Toronto back in November, and it was later reported that he had signed a multi-year deal with the company. It’s been expected that she would return to the SmackDown brand and tonight it finally happened. With her multi-year deal in place it looks like we’ll be seeing a lot of more of Mickie James and a lot less of La Luchadora in the future.
