When The Rock commented to GQ Magazine that he would seriously consider running for President Of The United States Of America, the internet exploded. There were more than a few people who commented on either direction on the subject.
Many people could picture seeing The Rock as The People’s President including WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley. TMZ Sports reported Mick Foley thinks The Rock is young enough to be able to run a couple of terms and still do some more films in Hollywood. Foley thinks The Rock could unite the country by running as an independent by making it clear he is willing to work with everybody.
Foley also commented about The Rock’s race and how he believed he crosses all racial lines. He said when people see him they don’t think about a specific race, they just see The Rock. Therefore it might be fully possible for America to have their first Samoan president, or at least Mick Foley thinks so.
Foley said The Rock is in a league all his own when it comes to his verbal skill. Some say Donald Trump won all of those debates during his presidential run because he was able to steamroll over his opposition. There was simply no comparable sparring partner for Trump. Seeing The Rock versus Donald Trump in a debate would be a PPV-level event, that’s for sure.
In the end, Mick Foley said if The Rock wants there to be a President Johnson someday, then we’ll see it happen. Foley was confident that The Rock’s knowledge of the issues and his longing to remain informed will be a driving force to see him to victory.
Mick Foley said the world is an oyster, it’s just The Rock’s decision when and if he wants to shuck it. As for The Rock really running for President, only time will tell on that one.
