AJ Styles and The Undertaker faced off in the first ever Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36, and in the weeks leading up to the match AJ Styles dug deep as he tried to get under Taker’s skin.
The Phenomenal One made it a point to mention Undertaker’s wife Michelle McCool in his promos and AJ’s words got a big reaction out of the former WWE Women’s Champion.
Michelle McCool recently spoke to the New York Post and she admitted that even though she loves AJ and his family AJ’s promo made her want to punch him in the face.
“I was not expecting all that AJ gave and I love AJ. I love his family, I love his wife [Wendy]. I texted his wife and said, ‘Look, you know I love y’all but he’s kind of making me hate him right now.’ He is doing his job because I kind of want to punch him in the face.”
McCool went on to joke that by the time WrestleMania 36 came around she was ready to join the Boneyard Match and get some revenge.
“Come WrestleMania I was like ‘Can I please show up?’ I could have covered him in dirt. I could have done a lot of things.”
The Undertaker picked up a decisive win over AJ Styles at WrestleMania, but it looks like their rivalry may not be over. You can get more on that here.
