Fans know that it’s rare to see The Undertaker wrestle on WWE programming nowadays, and appearances from The Phenom are few and far between. Originally Undertaker was supposed to face AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 in Tampa, FL but after the event was moved to the Performance Center in Orlando plans had to be changed.

Taker and Styles faced off in the first ever Boneyard Match, which was shot at a different location and had a cinematic feel. The match received a lot of praise, and The Undertaker picked up a definitive win when he buried AJ alive, but it looks like we may be seeing the two stars face off again in the future.

Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer recently speculated on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE is currently building toward a more tradition Undertaker vs. Styles match.

It’s not clear at this point in time when, or if the match will actually happen, but it’s probably safe to say WWE would ideally like for it to happen at an event that fans can actually attend.

During a recent interview with TV Guide Taker praised The Phenomenal One and made it clear that he has a lot of respect for Styles.

“We’ve both been in the business for a while and our paths had never crossed. That’s very unusual to never have a match with [someone of that stature] and I really hold him in very high regard as an in-ring performer and as a human being.”
