The annual AEW All In pay-per-view featured several big title matches, and one of the most anticipated matches heading into the show was Mercedes Mone vs. Willow Nightingale for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
Willow went into the match with a broken hand, and the fans seemed to be split as the match kicked off with half the crowd chanting for Willow and the other half chanting for Mercedes. Early on in the match Mercedes was busted open. Willow pulled Mercedes from the corner and Mercedes held onto the turnbuckle pad as she ripped it off then sent Willow face first into the exposed turnbuckle. Mercedes connected with a tornado DDT off the turnbuckle for a two count.
For several minutes Mercedes dominated the match as Willow struggled to make a comeback. Eventually then ended up on the apron and Willow hit Mercedes with a suplex off the apron onto the floor.
Willow managed to hit Mercedes with a Spanish Fly off the middle rope and Mercedes followed up with a Statement Maker. Willow lifted Mercedes up on her shoulders and threw her into the corner.
Near the end of the match Willow pulled Mercedes and she fell into the referee. They battled on the outside and Mercedes slammed Willow’s broken hand onto the announce table. Mercedes then ripped off Willow’s cast on her hand and grabbed the AEW Women’s World Championship. She tried to hit Willow with the belt, but Willow dodged it. Willow then grabbed the belt and hit Mercedes Mone with the belt. Back in the ring she connected with a powerbomb and Mercedes kicked out.
Willow hit Mercedes with a buckle bomb. They went to the top rope and Mercedes connected with a hurricanrana on Willow. Mercedes got Willow in the Statement Maker and Willow reached out for the ropes. Willow tried to hold on but ended up tapping out.
