Last summer Matt and Jeff Hardy set the professional wrestling world on fire when they introduced the Broken Universe. Unique matches such as The Final Deletion and Delete or Decay got a lot of people talking, and people quickly fell in love with the Broken Hardys and all things that came along with their gimmick.

A few weeks ago The Hardys left Impact Wrestling, and now they’re in a legal battle over the rights to the Broken Universe. Most fans assumed that it was only a matter of time before the team returned to WWE, and they were right, because Jeff and Matt Hardy returned Sunday night at WrestleMania 33 and they won the Raw Tag Team Titles.

Many fans wondered whether or not the Hardys would be “broken” when they arrived in WWE, but that question seems to have been answered. Although Matt Hardy is still using a good portion of the vocabulary we’ve become accustomed to, he’s not using the “broken” voice anymore.

The loss of Broken Matt Hardy is truly rough for fans of the Broken Universe, and the Broken One himself took to Twitter recently to explain that the pop the brothers got at WrestleMania seems to have healed his “CONDISHTION.”

It’s hard to say goodbye to the Broken Matt Hardy character, but hopefully this goodbye will be more of a “see you later.” As Matt Hardy battles Impact Wrestling for the rights to his gimmick, we can only hope that he is able to “DELETE” those who oppose him so he can officially bring the Broken Universe to WWE.
