This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw featured a big debut from NXT Champion Karrion Kross, but many people were surprised when the champion was defeated by Jeff Hardy in his debut match. The bout was a non-title match, but Jeff’s brother Matt Hardy jokingly questioned why Jeff isn’t the NXT Champion following his victory over Kross.

Karrion Kross has been booked as one of the top stars in NXT, and it was reported that the backstage reaction was one of shock and disappointment.
On Tuesday night Karrion Kross appeared on NXT in a segment where he took out NXT General Manager William Regal and he was chased off by Samoa Joe to end the show.
