This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown is set to air live from the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, FL and it will be the go-home show for the Backlash premium live event on Saturday night.
SmackDown is set to feature a big title match as Tiffany Stratton will be defending the Women’s United States Championship against Kiana James. Damian Priest vs. Talla Tonga and Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs. Fatal Influence have also been confirmed for the show.
The card is always subject to change, but according to BodySlam the early rundown for this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown is as follows:
– Jacob Fatu segment
– Tiffany Stratton vs. Kiana James for the Women’s United States Championship
– Damian Priest vs. Talla Tonga
– Cody Rhodes segment
– Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs. Fatal Influence
– Sami Zayn segment
Throughout Sami Zayn’s feud with Trick Williams the Gingerbread Man has been a central character, but last week on SmackDown, Sami snapped and destroyed the Gingerbread Man. WWE has confirmed that a funeral will be held for Gingerbread Man.
Cody Rhodes is also expected to address Gunther as The Ring General attacked him last week then made it clear that he wants a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship.
