Yesterday a judge ruled against Billy Corgan’s request for a temporary injunction against TNA, and now Corgan is set to be paid back the $1.8 million dollars that he loaned the company.
Billy Corgan seems to have a good relationship with the TNA talents on the roster, but following the court ruling few talents have commented on the judges decision.
One talent who did react to the ruling is Mike Bennett who wrote, “Welp, back to bad business as usual” shortly after the judge made her decision. Following Mike’s comments his wife Maria Kanellis-Bennett has announced that she plans to leave wrestling soon.
Maria posted the following:
News, any news doesn't ever tell the whole story. It will be an interesting next couple months. What I know is I am leaving wrestling soon.

I'm not exactly sure when but that's why I went back to school. I am done in May with my bachelors. And then, I'm on to my masters degree.

Eventually everyone must realize that the road never changes until you change roads.

Maria started with WWE in 2004 where she would play a ditzy type character for several years. In 2007 she formed an on-screen romance with former Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella, but she broke up with Santino when he got upset about her Playboy cover. Maria also wrestled occasionally before she was released in 2010.
After being released by WWE she moved on to the independent scene where she would work for Ring of Honor and various other promotions. In January of 2016 she made her TNA debut, and she’s pretty much been running the Knockouts division as a heel ever since.
