WrestleMania season is one of the most exciting times of the year to be a wrestling fan as you never know who might return leading up to the big show. WrestleMania season kicked off this weekend with the Royal Rumble and some big names were in the house for the event, but Brock Lesnar did not make his return.
Following the Royal Rumble it was reported that Brock Lesnar was not used at the event due to the Vince McMahon lawsuit. The Wrestling Observer is now reporting that the decision not to use Brock Lesnar will have a domino effect on creative plans moving forward.
Bron Breakker ended up entering the 30 man Royal Rumble match due to Brock’s absence and he fulfilled the original creative plans that were meant for Brock Lesnar such as his entry, eliminations and how he was eliminated.
It’s not expected that Brock Lesnar will be involved with the creative that was planned for him which included a match with Dominik Mysterio at Elimination Chamber and plans for Brock to face Gunther at WrestleMania 40. It was expected that the Gunther vs. Brock match would have been for the Intercontinental Championship, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
Following his appearance in the Royal Rumble match Bron Breakker declared that the main roster is now his home. It’s not known at this point in time if Breakker will be taking on the original creative plans that were meant for Brock Lesnar.
Stay tuned for updates.
