It was recently reported that WWE is looking to move away from TV-PG by turning Raw into a show with a TV-14 rating. Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast originally broke the news about the potential, and he recently pointed out that SummerSlam currently has a TV-14 rating on Peacock.

With WWE shifting to a potential TV-14 rating it’s unclear how this will change WWE programming, but it’s expected that the company will be more lenient when it comes to colorful language. Last week on SmackDown, Pat McAfee made a reference to the rating when he said, “This ain’t TV-14 yet, but d***hebag Corbin is an accurate title for bum a** Corbin!”
Brock Lesnar also recently said “s**tkicker” on an episode of Raw which was reportedly approved in the script, but later bleeped out by USA Network. One way or another it will be interesting to see how WWE pushes the TV-14 rating at SummerSlam.
SummerSlam will air live on Saturday, July 30 and you can check out the current card for the event below.
