Over the last few years fans have seen a number of wrestlers get their names shortened to one word, but it doesn’t sound like fans should expect that trend to continue moving forward.
PWInsider reports that it’s been confirmed that Theory will be using his full ring name of Austin Theory moving forward. Coming out of Raw this week fans noticed that Riddle was using his full name, and it’s being reported that he will be going by Matt Riddle from now on.
Several wrestlers have had their names changed over the years, but the shortened names were an edict that was handed down by the Vince McMahon regime, and that edict has now been reversed.
