Randy Orton has been out of action since last May and The Viper has been recovering from an injury ever since. It was reported months ago that Orton underwent back fusion surgery, and it was recently reported that WWE is bringing Orton in for WrestleMania weekend in Los Angeles.
With Randy Orton being brought in for WrestleMania weekend there’s been a lot of talk about when he could return to TV. WrestleVotes recently spoke to GiveMeSport about Randy Orton’s status and it was noted that Orton would like to show up at WrestleMania 39.
“Randy’s name I’ve started to hear a little bit over the last couple of weeks. He’s getting close. He’d like to show up at WrestleMania. Missing WrestleMania 32 in Dallas through injury killed him. So I think if he’s going to return, let’s say the night after, he’d rather just show up in some form at the stadium.”
The idea seems to be that if Triple H is planning for Orton to appear at Monday Night Raw the night after WrestleMania then he would like to just appear at WrestleMania instead. However, it isn’t 100% confirmed that Randy Orton will indeed be appearing at the Showcase of the Immortals.
Orton last competed on the May 20, 2022 episode of Friday Night SmackDown when RK-Bro dropped the Raw Tag Team Titles to The Usos. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
