For weeks now it’s been rumored that Trish Stratus would be returning to WWE, but plans for her return on Monday night were reportedly canceled. Fightful Select is reporting that Stratus was originally set to be part of the Ding Dong Hello segment and her return was even included on internal rundowns for Raw.
However, even though Stratus was at the show she wasn’t used due to “creative changes” and she ended up leaving. Fightful has verified with several people in the company that as of last week the plan was for her to be involved in a storyline with Becky Lynch and possibly other “high level stars.”
It was noted that it’s unclear if that exact plan is still in the works as specifics regarding the plan have not been confirmed. It’s not known at this point in time when, or if Trish Stratus could get involved. According to the WRKD Wrestling account which broke the news of Lita’s return, Trish is still on the way and set to be part of a storyline she’s wanted for quite some time.
This week during the Ding Dong Hello segment Becky Lynch challenged Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky to a WWE Women’s Tag Team Title match which Bayley accepted on behalf of the champions. Stay tuned for updates.
