NXT Great American Bash emanated from Orlando, Florida on Sunday night and it was the first NXT premium live event to air on the CW. The show featured a huge main event as Lola Vice defended the NXT Women’s Championship against Kendal Grey in the final match of the night.
During the match Kehlani Jordan made her way down to the ringside area and Wren Sinclair appeared then fought her off as they made their way to the back. A few minutes later the action spilled to the outside and Kendal Grey jumped off the barricade and hit Lola Vice with Shades of Grey on the floor.
Back in the ring Kendal put Lola Vice in the ankle lock, but Lola reversed it and applied an ankle lock of her own. She tried to pin Grey as Grey turned the pin into an armbar. Lola reversed the hold again and put Kendal in an armbar. They traded headlocks for a moment then Lola Vice connected with a spinning back kick for a two count.
Lola caught Kendal with a spinning back fist and they both fell to the mat and covered one another. The ref counted the pin and they both kicked out at two. Kendal Grey then connected with Shades of Grey and pinnned Lola Vice to become the new NXT Women’s Champion.
After the match Wren Sinclair celebrated with Kendal Grey in the ring as Lola Vice looked on.
